Modified Muscle
Leave it to Traxxas to put the huge torque of a the Titan 550 motor into the 1/16 Summit for unstoppable climbing, roosting, monster performance! The Titan modified motor is designed for incredible mod-motor power output with virtually maintenance-free operation, and long-lasting performance. The Titan 12T 550 motor's integrated cooling fan pulls cool air through the motor to keep temperatures down. Airflow is routed through vent tunnels molded in the motor plate. A cooler running motor equates to faster speeds, longer runtime, and extended motor life. The XL-2.5 Electronic Speed Control offers high current handling, EZ-Set one-button setup, and smooth high-frequency control. Three drive profiles, thermal shutdown protection, gold-plated connectors, and incredibly low resistance are all features you might expect to only be available on an expensive replacement ESC.

The unique inboard suspension is equipped with long-travel rockers for maximum ground clearance and traction in rough terrain. Long-wheelbase rear suspension arms put an extra 10mm between the axles for superior stability. New Geode 2.2" chrome rims hold Canyon AT tires with the same aggressive tread pattern as the "big" Summit to deliver tenacious off-road traction.

Waterproof Electronics For Go-Anywhere R/C Adventure 1/16 Summit looks ready for anything because it is ready for anything! Fully waterproof electronics to keep the fun rolling through water, mud and snow while lesser trucks stay on the bench. The patent-pending sealed receiver box houses Traxxas' micro AM receiver and can accept aftermarket receivers as well, without compromising the Summit's waterproof properties. XL-2.5 Waterproof Electronic Speed Control Designed and engineered by Traxxas, the XL-2.5 Electronic Speed Control delivers smooth throttle control with 380-size and smaller mini-motors and is completely waterproof for all-weather R/C driving fun. This high-performance ESC is packed with impressive specifications that are normally only found on more expensive high-end replacement units. The XL-2.5 features three throttle profiles, Thermal Shutdown Protection, 6-8 cell NiMH compatibility, and built-in BEC. High-frequency operation combined with ultra-low resistance make the XL-2.5 an efficient and ultra-smooth fully proportional speed control. The XL-2.5 is manufactured by Traxxas to ensure the highest level of quality and support.

Dual Battery Compartments The chassis' dual battery compartments let you add a second NiMH battery pack and Traxxas parallel connector (both sold separately) to nearly double 1/16 Summit's run time for even more off-road adventure between charges.

Titan 12-Turn 550 Modified Motor 1/16 Summit includes a powerful Titan 12T 550 modified motor--the same motor used in Traxxas' larger 1/10 scale models! The Titan's over-sized armature (30% larger compared to 540-sized armatures) is equipped with 12-turns of pure copper wire for big torque and increased power-handling capabilities. Lower running temperatures are achieved with the integrated cooling fan. The Titan 12T requires very little maintenance and is designed for consistent torque and high speeds from run to run, without fading. Beyond the specs, the Titan 12T is made for dirt-roosting torque, lightning-quick acceleration, big-air jumps, and just about any other 4-wheel fun that demands real horsepower.

Trail-Ready Styling With Realistic ExoCage Hardcore full-size off-roaders protect their rigs with external roll cages, and Summit follows suit with its rugged ExoCage. The flexible, bolt-on cage provides functional protection and incorporates tough-looking fender flares and a realistic light bar to complete Summit's trail-ready look.

NEW 2.2" Geode Wheels and Canyon AT Tires Dirt, mud, snowno matter where you run Summit, you can count on it to dig in hard with its aggressive Canyon AT tires. The multi-terrain tread features large, angular lugs that dig in to get brushless horsepower to the ground for powerful acceleration and all-terrain traction. New 2.2" Geode chrome wheels support the tires with molded-in "beadlock" rings that are matched to the body color for custom style.

Ball-Bearing Transmission with Slipper Clutch 1/16 Summit's high-efficiency, heavy-duty transmission is designed for full-throttle fun with precision ball bearings and high-strength gears. An adjustable slipper clutch lets you tailor power delivery to suit the terrain and your driving style, and makes certain every watt of Velineon power is turned into pure performance.

Sealed Silicone-Filled Differentials An industry first! Only Traxxas offers the superior power-handling and tuning capability of sealed differentials in 1/16 scale. The heavy-duty, steel-gear diffs are factory-filled with premium silicone fluid to prevent unloading and maintain maximum traction and control. It's a Traxxas innovation you won't find on any other mini-model.

Pivot Ball Suspension 1/16 Summit features pivot-ball suspension for smooth suspension articulation and easy adjustment. Rubber-sealed ball bearings ward off dirt and debris as they increase precision and reduce friction, and the oversized 8x12mm inboard bearings maximize durability. For extra security, the heavy-duty axle carriers are designed so the universal-joint axles' crosspins are captured by the inner bearingsanother example of Traxxas' attention to every detail.

Universal-Joint Driveshafts 1/16 Summit is fully equipped with telescoping, universal-joint axles for optimum drivetrain efficiency and maximum power transfer. The true-curvilinear spline design operates freely, and the oversized U-joints set the standard for strength and high-power durability.

Four-Channel Micro Receiver Traxxas' 4-channel micro receiver provides reliable reception as it saves weight, and dual channel-1 inputs allow you to install dual steering servos without the need for a bulky Y-harness. The receiver is fully protected from the elements by 1/16 Summit's waterproof receiver box.

Waterproof Electronics Mud. Water. Snow. 1/16 Summit's waterproof electronics and fully sealed receiver box let you make tracks in conditions that leave other trucks parked at home. Traxxas' innovative, ground-breaking waterproof receiver box puts 1/16 Summit in a league of its own. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a special watertight seal (patent pending). To protect the receiver from dust and water a custom shaped blue O-ring seals the receiver box. Thanks to the unique design, the receiver can be removed for service and even aftermarket receivers can be used, without losing the sealing properties of the box.

Digital High-Torque Waterproof Steering Servo Small but powerful, the 1/16 Summit's #2080 servo cranks out 41.7 oz.-in. of tire-turning torque with digital circuitry for responsive controleven in water, mud and snow, thanks to its O-ring-sealed waterproof construction.

Long Travel Suspension 1/16 Summit is equipped with Long Travel rockers to deliver over 50mm of suspension articulation for bump and jump handling capability far beyond that of any "mini" truck. Tunable damping rates, independent ride height adjustment, and the absolute highest level of control for any situation give 1/16 Summit total control of any terrain.

Oil-Filled GTR Shocks 1/16 Summit's super-smooth oil-filled shocks damp the suspension and maintain control no matter how rugged the terrain. They are fully tuneable and include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and threaded spring pre-load collars for quick ride height adjustments.

Revo-Spec Suspension A defining feature of the Summit, expertly executed in 1/16 scalethe unique Revo-Spec suspension places the shocks inboard on the chassis, away from dirt and debris, and amplifies the shocks' travel for incredible off-road capability without the weight of extra-long shocks. Installed Long-Travel rockers provide linear travel; optional Progressive rockers are available to tune the 1/16 Summit with damping and spring rates that increase as the suspension is compressed.
