A Little About Me
I have been into R/c hobbies since I was 12. Started with
electric R/c buggies and later began to race onroad gas. After a
short period of racing at my local hobby shop's track, I gave up
cars and dove head first into R/c Helicopters. In August of 2000
I bought my first R/c heli from Cindy, an Ikarus Piccolo. Might
I add, despite her best efforts to get me into something more
practical.
After months of crashing, glueing and buying parts. I gave up on
it and bought my first Raptor 30 and really started to learn
something. The following year I converted my Raptor 30 to a 50.
This really helped me progress as I had all the power I would
need to try new things. After another year had passed I sold my
Raptor 50 and bought a Raptor 60 and stuffed a YS80 into it.
What a great chopper that was. Lots of power and super smooth.
Simply a blast to fly. Also the Al's Funfly drag champion of
2002.
I continued to fly and learn a lot with the Raptor 80 until the
following year when I sold it as well. Afterwhich I purchased a
Robbe Millenium 2, with an OS91Cspec. Sadly the machine was not
what I had expected. Very very smooth, especially in the wind,
but did not have the kind of response I was looking for. After
flying it through the rest of the year, I sold it and bought a
new Raptor 90. Which brings me up to this year.
What's coming next, who knows? But I am really enjoying my
Raptor 90, so I don't see it going anywhere soon.
