You want to talk about extreme? This high performance, 54mm rocket kit is capable of extremely high altitude flights. The fully `glassed version has flown to 13,685 on an Aerotech K-185. The test vehicle was found relatively close to the launch pad even though it was launched in 20MPH winds, thanks to the Close Proximity Recovery system. This kit comes with a 30" long booster to accommodate very long 54mm composite and even hybrid motors! The Nimbus is not available with QT tubing. (QT is not recommended for minimum diameter rockets, rockets where the motor casing touches the QT directly) The Nimbus is 2.1" ID and stands 73" tall. The fully `glassed model weighs approximately 48oz. For added structural integrity when using high impulse motors or for trans-sonic and supersonic flight, we highly recommend using the optional "Glass Wrap" fiberglass laminating kit. The "GlassWrap" kit comes complete with precut fiberglass cloth, professional epoxy laminating resin, hardener and detailed instructions.
